The Valley of the Kings is one of the most significant archaeological sites in Egypt and the final resting place of numerous pharaohs, including the famous King Tutankhamun.
The valley is a vast burial ground located on the west bank of the Nile and is home to over 60 tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs.
You'll visit a selection of tombs (entrance to Tutankhamun’s tomb may incur an additional fee), where you'll witness vivid wall paintings, intricate carvings, and hieroglyphs depicting the pharaohs’ journey to the afterlife.
Next, head to the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most impressive temples of ancient Egypt, dedicated to the only female pharaoh in Egypt's history.
The temple is located in a stunning setting at the base of the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Its design is a marvel of architecture, with three terraced levels leading to a grand colonnade.
Afterwards you’ll visit Karnak Temple, one of the largest and most impressive temple complexes in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
Karnak is famous for its massive columns, including the hypostyle hall, which contains 134 columns that tower up to 21 meters high. The site is rich with hieroglyphic inscriptions, grand statues, and obelisks.
After your visits to these incredible sites, you’ll board the bus for the return trip to Hurghada.
You can relax and reflect on your incredible experience as you make your way back, with the bus expected to return to your hotel in the early evening.
